Halo Combat Evolved Marine Cosplay
I’m an oldschool gamer, which means one of my favourite games of my favourite franchises is Halo: Combat Evolved. I absolutely adore the marine armour in this game – I appreciate how primitive it is compared to the rest of any type of armour throughout the series, which really adds to the narrative of human vs. Covenant technology. What’s better is because I’m also Australian, I got to be one of the most powerful, mysterious and kick-a characters in the franchise – Chips Dubbo!
This armour was made almost purely from EVA foam, using files that came from the 405th. To go with the marine, I constructed the classic MA5B assault rifle and M6D Magnum pistol, both from foam too.
This is likely my favourite cosplay – light, easy to move in, doesn’t obscure vision or over heat me, plus there’s a fair bit of storage potential. Many memories were created and friendships founded because of this suit.
